I created this website because as a busy working mother, it was hard to find time to research unique places or activities for my kids' birthday parties. I wanted to create fun and memorable experiences, but I didn’t enjoy spending hours looking through search results or calling around to different vendors.
I knew there had to be others like me who had the same challenges and believed there could be a simpler way to discover local businesses, specifically women and professionals-of-color owned businesses. I have the desire to showcase small businesses who may not always show up in your typical online search. I created Picabash with the goal of streamlining the event planning process and making the small local business, the easy and convenient choice for your next event.
